Definition

Hearth is the working name for Alterspective’s human-first, AI-native concern management platform.

The metaphor is deliberate. A hearth is:

• The centre of the home — where people gather around meaningful work.
• A focal point — attention naturally gravitates here.
• A source of warmth — and the fuel that powers everything else (the forge needs hearth’s fire).
• Quietly present — never demanding attention, always available.

AI tends the fire. People do the work. Joy follows.

Working name vs platform name

• Project Hearth — the internal project and design space. This is also the workspace folder name (alterspective-hearth).
• Alterspective Hearth — the external platform expression. Always use with a clear descriptor: “Alterspective Hearth — Human-first Concern Management for the AI era.”

The naming may evolve once the platform reaches commercial readiness; for now, Hearth is the canonical name.

What Hearth is

• A human-first Concern Management Platform.
• An AI-native operating layer for complex work.
• A place where matters, claims, risks, obligations, relationships, and decisions can be managed through lifecycle and context.
• A platform that meets users where they are rather than trapping them in one screen.
• A design language for work that values flow, meaning, relationship, and accomplishment.
• A practical expression of the Alterspective philosophy.

What Hearth is not

• Not another workflow engine with a warmer name.
• Not a case-management system with more admin screens.
• Not a chatbot pasted onto a database.
• Not a tool that replaces human judgement.
• Not a gamified happiness platform.
• Not a clone of Sharedo.

Family

Hearth fits into Alterspective’s emerging fire-and-creation vocabulary:

• Forge — where methods, thinking, and delivery practices are shaped.
• Foundry — where components and capabilities are created.
• Hearth — where people gather around meaningful work.
• whisper — the quiet AI voice that helps without dominating.

Forge needs Hearth’s fire. Hearth needs Forge’s craft. Whisper travels through both.
